AEC Projects

Projects 2015
One Hundred and twelve (112) and six (6) student representatives from 38 ASEM countries were represented at the 12th ASEF Classroom Network Conference in Sofia, Bulgaria from 16-20 November 2015. Thirty-four (34) ASEF ClassNet Online Collaborations were initiated and were completed in August 2016.

Projects 2014
In 2014, the activities of the ASEF Classroom Network include the evaluation of the completed projects from 2013 and the submission of new ASEF ClassNet to be implemented in 2015. These new ASEF ClassNet Projects were completed by 31 July 2015.

Projects 2013
Eighty-Seven (87) educators (including 6 student representatives) from 31 ASEM countries attended the Eleventh Conference in Bali, Indonesia, October/November 2013. Thirty-eight (38) ASEF ClassNet projects, covering different themes and topics were developed and completed by July 2014.

Projects 2012
In 2012, the activities of the Asia-Europe Classroom Network include the evaluation of the completed projects from 2011 and the submission of new AEC projects for 2012. A total of twenty-five (25) AEC projects were implemented in 2012 and to be completed by end July 2013.

Projects 2011
One hundred and nine (109) educators (including 6 student representatives) from 33 ASEM countries attended the Tenth Conference in Dundalk, Ireland in November 2011. Thirty-eight (38) AEC projects, covering different themes and topics were developed and completed by August 2012.

Projects 2010
Eighty-four (84) educators (including 6 student representatives) from twenty-eight (28) ASEM countries attended the Ninth Conference in Gurgaon, NCR of Delhi, India in November 2010 to develop the 2010/2011 AEC projects. At the conclusion of the conference, thirty-three (33) AEC projects, covering various themes and topics were developed and will be completed prior the next conference in 2011.

Projects 2009
Seventy-Seven (77) educators from thirty (30) ASEM countries gathered at the Eighth Conference in Sønderborg, Denmark in October 2009 to develop the 2009/2010 AEC projects. At the end of the conference, thirty-one (31) AEC projects, covering various themes and topics, with the majority focused on environmental and sustainable development were developed and completed before the next conference in 2010.

Projects 2008
Eighty (80) teachers and educators from twenty-four (24) ASEM countries gathered at the Seventh Conference in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia in December 2008 to develop the 2008/2009 AEC projects proposed prior to the conference. At the conclusion of the conference, thirty-one (31) AEC projects and two (2) additional AEC projects, covering various themes and topics were discussed during the course of the conference which will be implemented after the conclusion of the conference. These projects are scheduled to be completed September 2009.

Projects 2007
Twenty (20) AEC Projects were developed from January to December 2007 in the absence of an Asia-Europe Classroom Network Conference.

Projects 2006
Eighty (80) teachers and educators from twenty-eight (28) ASEM countries gathered at the Sixth Conference in Kerkini, Serres Prefecture, Greece in October 2006 to develop the 2006/2007 AEC projects that were proposed prior to the conference. Thirty-two (32) AEC projects, covering various themes and topics were discussed during the course of the conference and were implemented after the conclusion of the conference.

Projects 2005
Eighty (80) teachers and educators from twenty-three (23) ASEM countries gathered at the Fifth Conference in Beijing, China in September 2005, to brainstorm and develop the AEC projects proposed for 2005/2006. Twelve (12) AEC Projects were being discussed during the course of the conference and were implemented after the conclusion of the conference.

Projects 2004
Sixty-one (61) teachers and educators from seventeen (17) ASEM countries gathered at the Fourth Conference in Grömitz, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany in September/October 2004, to brainstorm and develop the AEC projects proposed for 2005/2006. Twelve (12) AEC projects were being discussed during the course of the conference and were implemented after the conclusion of the conference.

Projects 2003
Sixty-eight (68) teachers and educators from fourteen (14) ASEM countries gathered at the Third Conference in Bogor, Indonesia in September/October 2003, to brainstorm and develop the AEC projects proposed for 2004/2005. Seven (7) AEC Projects were discussed during the course of the conference and were implemented after the conclusion of the conference.

Projects 2002
Fifty-five (55) teachers and educators from close to sixteen (16) ASEM countries gathered at the Second Conference in Tampere, Finland in September 2002, to brainstorm and develop the AEC projects proposed for 2002/2003. Nine (9) AEC Projects were discussed during the course of the conference and were implemented after the conclusion of the conference.

Projects 2001
Sixty (60) teachers and educators from close to twenty (20) ASEM countries were brought together at the First Conference in Singapore in September 2001, to brainstorm and develop the AEC projects proposed for 2001/2002. Seven (7) AEC Projects were discussed during the course of the conference and were implemented after the conclusion of the conference.
