Experiences with the Asia-Europe Classroom Programme

Working with students and teachers from other schools was a wonderful experience. Working with them has taught me how to cooperate with students who are from different countries with different cultures and languages. These projects made me learn to love our mother earth and save it for our future and future generations to come. I have realised that even a single small step towards saving our earth and our natural resources is an important step and it does count. Read more...

Two different continents are interacting in one classroom, wherein everyone is in contrast to each with their cultures, languages, traditions and environments. It may be impossible to think that these two continents, Asia and Europe, can comprehend each other in spite of the differences that they have. They may not be the same but they are still one creation that God made as they are living on the same planet… We are still ONE in mind and in heart to survive all circumstances as we live on Earth and may come to a productive and joyful living. My life starts with a warm greeting from an early sunlight ray that spreads across my half-asleep face. As a student of Davao City National High School, and a fourth year student at that, I wake up at an early hour to attend an early flag ceremony. One of the subjects that we take up in our school involved choosing an AEC project. Along with three other classmates we decided to join the project entitled “Eco Tourists’ Passports” Project. We didn’t exactly know what we were getting into but it mostly told us that we would be collaborating with other students from other schools coming from different parts of Asia and Europe.
