Learning beyond Boundaries
towards a closer Classroom Collaboration between Asia and Europe

 

The 8th Asia-Europe Classroom Network Conference with the theme “The Impact of Climate Change and Sustainable Development Within the School Community in Asia and Europe” was organised in collaboration with the Sønderborg Municipality from 26 to 30 October 2009 in Sønderborg, Denmark, with support from the Danish Ministry of Education, Hørup Centralskole, Nyborg Friskole and Herfølge Skole.

The conference in Sønderborg brought together seventy-seven (77) educators from fifty-five (55) schools from 30 ASEM countries* to initiate and/to participate in collaborative ICT projects.



 
 

Thirty-one (31) AEC Projects, covering various themes and topics, with the majority focused on environmental and sustainable development were proposed and will be developed for 2009/2010.


*The following countries were represented at the 8th AEC-NET Conference: *Brunei, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Laos, Latvia, Malaysia, Mongolia, Pakistan, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Singapore, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, Vietnam
